We know X likes to change things up. Aside from changing their name to X instead of Twitter, they have now relaunched their ad education platform as well. Introducing X Ads Academy, formerly known as “Flight School”.
X has refreshed the platform for those who want to improve their ads knowledge. This is a comprehensive e-learning platform designed to help businesses and marketers create effective ad campaigns on X. It has a range of courses that provide overviews of X’s ad system.
This seems to be their strategy to leverage the influence of its user base. TikTok Is Developing a New AI ChatBot
Say hello to Genie. It seems that the social media giant has applied for the trademark to use the name “Genie” for its upcoming AI chatbot.
This tool would enable users to pose questions in-stream and get immediate responses, among other things.
This has been in the works for a long time. Here’s a refresher of some of the latest AI tools they’ve been working on:
- In late May of 2023, TikTok let users in the Philippines get access to “Tako” chatbot. Tako is only designed to guide users to other videos in the app, not to answer questions.
- They also have a generative AI search function available in Douyin, the Chinese version of the app. This enables users to maximise discovery both inside and outside the app.
- Don’t forget about “Symphony”, their marketing management platform that enables users to deploy virtual influencers to sell their products for them.
- Another element is their “StramVoice” system which can simulate a person’s voice based on just a few samples.
- They are also developing AI music generators and text-to-video creation.
TikTok is definitely looking to make it more of a hub for its AI functionalities, integrating it all into one stream.
Meta has pushed its AI chatbot out to all its apps and TikTok is following in their footsteps. However, TikTok’s efforts seem to be more focused on functional discovery and making it easier for users to use the tools.

Robots.txt Turns 30
To celebrate its 30th year, analysts at Google highlight lesser-known facts about Robots.txt files.
Essentially, a robots.txt file tells search engine crawlers which URLs the crawler can access on your site. This is used mainly to avoid overloading your site with requests. It has been a staple in SEO best practices since it was created and it remains useful to this day.
They mainly wanted to highlight that Robots.Txt parsers are designed to ignore most mistakes without compromising functionality. Parsers typically recognize and process key directives such as user-agent, allow, and disallow while overlooking unrecognized or misspelt content.
However, they did point out the presence of line comments in robots.txt files, a feature he found puzzling given the file’s error-tolerant nature. Additionally, line comments within the file provide valuable documentation for developers and SEO professionals.
